Pinangba service is inviting applications from experienced facility managers to join our Shalom Elders Village.


Pinangba is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lead service delivery arm of UnitingCare. The foundations of Pinangba are built from our cultural identity and strong community relationships and partnerships.

About the role:

You’ll work with your front-line team to provide outstanding care to residents, promoting a culture of values-based, person-centred care.

Through your knowledge, you’ll promote a high standard of quality and compliance, ensuring your facility meets all regulatory requirements through best practice clinical care and audit activities. You’ll ensure strong financial sustainability by driving community engagement to support occupancy whilst overseeing property maintenance, hospitality and lifestyle programs.

Working closely with your senior clinicians, you’ll lead a team of nurses, personal carers and support staff, ensuring their ongoing performance by providing coaching and direction to enable their success.

Role requirements:  

With a solid background in aged care, your leadership skills have seen you grow and develop similar sized services with a focus on quality and person-centred care. Your mentorship and coaching of frontline leaders have resulted in strong service performance, with sound quality outcomes and care governance. You’re confident tackling complex and conflicting priorities throughout your day, pooling your resources to meet deadlines.

  • Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent qualification OR solid experience in the management of a residential aged care or healthcare service

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and communities

  • Experience coordinating care provision within a large team

  • Confidence to manage staff, conflict, pressures and competing priorities

  • Ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship to other team members

  • Satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or organisational policy

  • In accordance with requirements outlined by the ACQSC and / or the NDIS this role is considered as Key Personnel. You will be required to meet key suitability criteria and complete additional compliance measures.
