A day in the life


The Research & Strategy Manager plays a critical role in shaping data-driven insights that inform investment, development, and capital allocation decisions across Prologis’ European platform. Based in Amsterdam and working closely with the Global Research & Strategy team, this role partners with Investments, Capital Deployment, Asset Management, and senior leadership to translate market intelligence into actionable strategy. The position exists to strengthen Prologis’ competitive advantage by turning data into clear insights and insights into compelling narratives that drive business outcomes. This is a highly collaborative role with cross-border exposure, operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Research team in Europe consists of three people, and this role has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain forecasts and models for key drivers of logistics real estate performance, including rents, cap rates, occupancy, macroeconomic indicators, and customer demand trends.
  • Analyse internal and third-party data to generate proprietary insights that inform investment strategy, capital allocation, and portfolio management decisions.
  • Identify and evaluate structural trends affecting logistics real estate performance, including e-commerce growth, supply chain practices, demographics, and economic shifts.
  • Produce and deliver high-impact presentations, white papers, and investment strategy recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Europe and the Global Research organization to formulate, test, and refine strategic hypotheses.
  • Contribute to predictive analytics and process improvements that enhance research capabilities and decision-making efficiency.
  • Serve as a point of contact for research-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and, when needed, external investors, customers, and industry groups.

Building blocks for success

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in real estate, economics, finance, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial modelling and executive-level presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience building financial or econometric models and translating quantitative analysis into clear business insights.
  • Experience working with large datasets from multiple sources (internal and third-party).
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Preferred:

  • Degree in Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in logistics real estate or commercial real estate markets in Europe.
  • Advanced understanding of capital markets.
  • Experience with econometric modelling and/or programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience developing white papers or externally facing thought leadership materials.
