Research Senior Technician to assist and provide support of research studies in biochemistry of retroviral integration; conducts planned research activities using observation, measurement and analytical techniques; prepares solutions and live culture media for scientific experiments; performs a variety of assays and experimental tests; records and consolidates research data; assists with preparation of data and materials for inclusion in research reports, publications and grant applications written by principal investigator; researches current scientific literature on specified topics; assists with instructing research aides, undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory procedures and operation of equipment; calibrates various laboratory equipment and operates microscopes, centrifuges and other laboratory equipment; assists with ordering, stocking and maintenance of research supplies.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree, or 0 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree.
