Key Responsibilities:

  • Literature review of existing methods and models

  • Identify the weaknesses of existing models

  • Propose and develop state-of-the-art methods to overcome existing problems.

  • Train and evaluate the models and systemically compare them with recent models.

  • Prepare papers and reports.

  • Develop systems based on the developed models for agencies/commercial partners

  • Supervise junior researchers and master students

Job Requirements:

  • Preferably PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

  • Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player

  • Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills

    • In-depth knowledge of deep learning, specifically, foundation models, diffusion models is a must.
      For image authentication: In depth knowledge of AI editing methods, deepfake classification methods, and property of generative models.

    • For biometrics: In depth knowledge of face recognition, soft biometrics, extraction biometric information in videos

    • For video analysis: In depth knowledge of object detection, video summarization.

  • Demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research.

  • The ability and willingness to adapt and incorporate novel ideas and approaches in scientific industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to formulate hypothesis and design effective experimental plans.

  • Ability to design and implement new experimental methods.

  • High-level expertise in the required experiment or modelling methods.

  • Ability to initiate collaboration research in multidisciplinary team.

  • Oversee and report project progress.

  • Ability and willingness to work some flexible hours.

  • A strong publication record at top AI conferences or Journals, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, TPAMI, TIP, TIFS, TMM and T-BIOM

  • Preferably publications related real/AI generated image classification, biometrics or video processing

  • Strong software implementation skills.

  • Preferably 4 years+ research experience, including PhD study.
