dunnhumby are searching for a Research Consulting Manager to lead and elevate strategic research delivering high‑impact strategic programmes (combining attitudinal and behavioural data) for clients, strengthening research capability across regions, and developing a high‑performing team that drives consistent quality, narrative excellence, and operational rigour.

 

What we expect from you:

  • Experience across both client‑side and supplier‑side environments
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • Strong logical and structured problem‑solving approach
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and grow client relationships
  • Effective listening, questioning, and client interview skills
  • Ability to establish rapport and build trust quickly
  • Skilled in consultative selling, including upselling and cross‑selling
  • Confident in managing and resolving conflict constructively
  • Understanding of consumer behaviour and psychology

 

Responsibilities:

UK Insights Delivery & Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a team of researchers to deliver projects to uk manufacturers effectively and efficiently.
  • Define the right methodologies to answer client questions — balancing analytical robustness with pragmatism regarding client budgets, timelines, and internal profitability.
  • Advise, consult, and lead methodological development for projects to continuously develop the dunnhumby Research solution.
  • Quality assure and review the end-deliverables of the team. Oversee project scoping, prioritisation, quality assurance, and delivery excellence, ensuring outputs meet dunnhumby standards.
  • Drive efficiency improvements in UK research delivery, streamlining workflows and increasing consistency.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure research solutions align with broader commercial and category strategies.
  • Manage risk effectively, provide visible and consistent leadership on our Values and Code of Business Conduct and act where you see issues. Protect our team by ensuring they have the skills and all training needed.

 

EMEA/APAC Strategic Research Leadership

  • Lead and deliver high‑impact strategic research projects across EMEA and APAC markets.
  • Act as senior client contact at critical moments (pre‑sales, kick‑offs, debriefs, escalations).
  • Grow and evolve the EMEA/APAC Strategic Research capability, ensuring scalability and innovation.
  • Ensure consistent narrative, methodology, and output quality across multi‑market projects.
  • Champion capability innovation and best‑practice development.
