We are looking for a Research Assistant to support the research for the project titled: Robotics Innovation Research Fund.
Key Responsibilities:
The Research Assistant will work on robotic navigation, manipulation control, vision-based object detection and identification, and robotic maintenance. The role of this position includes:
Literature survey of the latest robotic SLAM and navigation techniques.
Deployment of novel navigation approaches for smart obstacle avoidance in network-denial environment.
Development of a novel vision-based robotic manipulation control.
Deployment of developed methods in software modules in Unitree G1 robots.
Publication of research papers and IPs.
To assist project PI to coach research students.
Job Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields with past experience in embedded system, machine learning and software development.
Knowledge in robotic system development is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
