Base salary will be in the range $93,491 - $100,296 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)

We’re seeking a driven Senior Research Assistant with experience in rehabilitation, stroke or health services research who’s ready to make meaningful impact. In this role, you’ll apply your specialist expertise to drive high-quality research outcomes across the full research life cycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
Coordinate end-to-end research activities, including data collection, management and analysis.
Manage study processes such as ethics applications, amendments and reporting.
Build strong research collaborations and partnerships.
Develop research materials, protocols, recruitment resources and training tools.
Contribute to reports, publications and broader research dissemination.
Support study design and analysis using best-practice methods.
Mentor junior staff and students to build capability.
Maintain research integrity through accurate documentation, compliance and effective data management.
Provide essential administrative and operational support.

Salary packaging options
A degree in Physiotherapy (preferred), Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy, plus research coordination experience.
Strong research skills to run hospital-based studies and support diverse methodologies.
Knowledge of Australian rehabilitation services and the needs of adults with neurological conditions.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams across hospital or community rehabilitation settings.
Desirable experience with electronic medical records, qualitative research, accelerometry, co-design or systematic reviews.
Excellent problem-solving, organisation and adaptability.
Strong communication skills and clear documentation.
High digital literacy and confidence with research databases.
Ability to liaise effectively with varied research stakeholders.
Interest in supporting and mentoring junior research staff
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, AHPRA registration and mandatory immunisations.
