BASIC FUNCTION:
Conduct research as directed by the Principle Investigator (PI) in performing a variety of duties on a research project.
PRINCIPAL. ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist the principal investigator in conducting a wide variety of research procedures. Organize supplies, materials or equipment and sets-up experimental tests.
Collect research data; this may be through a variety of research methods, such as scientific experimentation, computational results, literature reviews, and research interviews
Compile data and assists in routine preliminary analyses; maintains research data in computer, writes summary reports and report findings to investigator.
To carry out administrative tasks related directly to the delivery of the research Perform other related duties as assigned.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
Skill in the operation of computers, related software applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Python, ANSYS FLUENT) and standard office equipment.
Ability to perform data analysis of computational and experimental results.
Ability to prepare progress reports and make presentations.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious work relations with faculty, staff, students and customers.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work with others.
Ability to multi-task efficiently.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline related to the research project
