Job Description:
This position supports James Allen, Charles Edwin Wilbour Professor in Egyptology (Emeritus) with research tasks as defined below. The incumbent will assist in reviewing, sorting, and filing research materials and files, both paper and digital; update bibliographic databases; scan, label, and upload publications to the web (Academia and Annual Egyptological Bibliography); review paper data forms for completeness and consistency, scan and label for archiving; scan and edit images and slides for archiving utilizing tools such as Photoshop; other research-related tasks as needed.
Knowledge of ancient Egyptian language and background in archaeology is preferred.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Customer service mindset
Web 2.0 Fluency
Experience with Adobe products including Photoshop
Records management
