Role Summary

In this senior role, you will serve as a strategic partner to R&D leadership, owning and shaping the requirements and test management framework for complex automotive products. You will ensure scalable, auditable, and compliant processes across the full product lifecycle—balancing quality, efficiency, and time‑to‑market.

Beyond day‑to‑day project execution, you will influence organizational best practices, mentor technical leaders, and actively contribute to the evolution of global requirements and test governance at NXP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and govern project‑specific requirements management plans, including end‑to‑end traceability across system, hardware, software, safety, and verification domains
  • Architect and govern requirements and test infrastructures (e.g. IBM DOORS, ELM, RQM), ensuring scalability, consistency, and audit readiness across global sites
  • Act as a subject‑matter authority for requirements engineering, verification alignment, and lifecycle compliance
  • Coach and influence system architects, project managers, and engineering teams to improve requirements quality, change impact analysis, and test coverage
  • Define and report executive‑level KPIs on requirements maturity, verification progress, risks, and compliance status
  • Lead and support internal and external audits, assessments, and customer reviews related to requirements and test processes
  • Collaborate with the global NXP requirements and test community on corporate standards, tool strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives

Core Capabilities

  • Automotive Requirements Engineering & Traceability (IBM ELM, DOORS)
  • V‑Model–Based Specification & Requirements Architecture
  • Functional Safety & Quality Compliance (ISO 26262, IATF 16949, CISQ)
  • Requirements Planning, KPIs & Program Reporting
  • R&D Coordination & OEM / Supplier Stakeholder Alignment
  • Non‑Functional Requirements, Test Strategy & Automation
  • Process Deployment, Continuous Improvement & CoE Leadership
  • Agile & Hybrid Automotive Development
  • Training & Cross‑Functional Enablement

Candidate Profile

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Extensive hands‑on experience in requirements engineering and management for complex embedded or automotive systems
  • Proven expertise with enterprise requirements and test management tools (e.g. IBM DOORS / DOORS NG, ELM, RQM)
  • Strong background in quality assurance, verification strategies, and lifecycle compliance
  • Advanced English communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at engineering, management, and executive levels
  • IREB (Advanced / Expert) and/or ISTQB certification preferred
  • Deep practical knowledge of CMMI, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and related safety‑critical development standards
  • Demonstrated experience in international, multi‑site, cross‑functional environments
  • Track record of influencing organizations beyond direct reporting lines and driving process excellence at scale

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary
