Job Description:
Parsons are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Reporting and Planning Manager to lead project planning, scheduling, and performance reporting functions for a large-scale airfield/airport development program.
The ideal candidate will have approximately 15 years of experience in planning and project controls within major infrastructure or aviation projects. This role will be responsible for ensuring robust schedule management, accurate performance tracking, and high-quality reporting to support informed decision-making and successful project delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the development, review, and maintenance of the integrated master schedule covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
- Ensure alignment of contractor schedules with overall program objectives and milestones.
- Monitor schedule performance, identify delays, and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
- Apply advanced planning techniques such as critical path analysis, resource loading, and schedule risk analysis.
- Oversee the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Develop standardized reporting frameworks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Analyze project performance data, including schedule progress, productivity, and trends.
- Present performance insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between planning, cost control, risk management, and change management functions.
- Support earned value management (EVM) implementation and performance measurement.
- Collaborate with cost and commercial teams to ensure integrated forecasting and reporting.
- Review and evaluate contractor baseline schedules, updates, and recovery plans.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project specifications, and aviation standards.
- Challenge assumptions and validate logic, sequencing, and resource allocations.
- Manage planning and reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
- Utilize tools such as Primavera P6 and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI) to enhance visibility and analytics.
- Drive automation and digitalization of reporting processes.
- Support risk identification and analysis related to schedule performance.
- Assess the impact of changes, delays, and disruptions on the overall project timeline.
- Provide planning input into change management and claims processes.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, and project controls teams to ensure alignment.
- Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and airport authorities on planning and reporting matters.
- Ensure timely communication of key risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of planners and reporting specialists.
- Promote best practices, continuous improvement, and high-performance standards.
- Support training and professional development of team members.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and reporting for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in leadership roles within project controls or planning functions.
- Experience in airport, airfield, or aviation-related projects is highly preferred.
- Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong knowledge of planning methodologies.
- Experience with project reporting tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project lifecycles, and scheduling best practices.
- Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and performance measurement techniques.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent.
- Experience managing multi-phase airport development or expansion programs.
- Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
