An opportunity to play your part  As our Reporting & Insight Manager, you’ll be the architect behind a smarter, more connected data future. This role is all about shaping and delivering a unified data strategy that brings clarity, accuracy, and consistency to how we understand asset financing and metering across the business. You’ll create a reporting framework that doesn’t just crunch numbers—it sparks meaningful conversations, powers confident commercial and operational decisions, and inspires strategic thinking at every level. If turning complex data into accessible, automated insight is your kind of challenge, you’ll feel right at home.

Location: UK-based hybrid role, Occasional travel to site.

Day to day

• Manages stakeholders with clarity and confidence, keeping relationships strong and priorities aligned daily.
• Build and maintain a unified data layer for asset financing and metering, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and easy to access for accurate reporting and analysis.
• Lead the design and rollout of the data strategy and toolset for AF&M, ensuring everything aligns with business priorities and enables smarter, faster insights.
• Champion data fidelity by delivering consistent, trustworthy reporting that equips teams to make informed commercial, operational, and strategic decisions.
• Create and deliver engaging scorecards and insight reports for stakeholders at all levels, translating performance trends into meaningful actions.
• Boost efficiency by introducing automation and intelligent scheduling into reporting processes, reducing manual work and improving speed and accuracy.
• Partner across Centrica’s data functions, from Big Data to AI and analytics to eliminate duplication, elevate insight quality, and build strong relationships that ensure data truly drives the growth agenda.

What are the must haves

• Strong background in asset financing, metering, and retail energy operations, with the ability to turn industry complexity into meaningful, business‑friendly insights.
• Confident working with big data platforms like Databricks and Azure HDI, using them to build reliable, scalable data foundations that make analytics smooth and impactful.
• Skilled in creating compelling visuals with Power BI and streamlining processes with Power Automate, bringing data to life and boosting efficiency at every opportunity.
• Comfortable using planning and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Planner, Miro, or similar platforms to organise work, shape ideas, and drive projects forward.
• Deep understanding of how the retail energy ecosystem works end‑to‑end, including hands‑on familiarity with metering fulfilment (MEM/MSS) and asset financing services (MAP).
• Experienced navigating large, fast‑moving corporate environments, building strong relationships, influencing decision‑makers, and keeping insights clear, credible, and accessible.
