Overview:
As a Renewals Insights Specialist — Service Sales, you will play a key role within the Renewals Business Intelligence team (Revenue Operations), supporting the Service Sales Renewals organization in driving customer retention and revenue growth. You will partner closely with Renewals Account Managers (RAMs), Regional Sales Leaders, Channel teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide operational, data, and reporting support that enhances efficiency, data quality, and decision-making.
This role serves as an entry point into the Renewals BI function, focusing on structured, repeatable, and operational activities that reduce team workload and ensure continuity of critical processes. Acting as a bridge between Sales and Operations, you will contribute to maintaining accurate and reliable data, supporting forecasting and reporting, and enabling scalable processes across the renewals lifecycle.
Over time, you will expand your scope to take on more complex responsibilities, contributing to process improvements, advanced analytics, and strategic initiatives that strengthen the renewals business.
Responsibilities:
Operational Support & Workload Enablement: Support day-to-day operational and data-related activities across the Renewals BI team, helping balance workload and ensure continuity of critical processes. Contribute to establishing a structured cadence of recurring tasks (data checks, reporting updates, monitoring) and provide additional support during high-demand periods such as quarter-end cycles.
Salesforce Data Stewardship & Monitoring: Perform routine Salesforce (SFDC) data quality checks, including validation of key fields, opportunity status accuracy, and identification of inconsistencies impacting forecasting and reporting. Support the maintenance of clean, reliable data to enable accurate business insights.
Forecasting & Pipeline Support: Assist in renewal forecasting processes by preparing and validating data inputs, monitoring pipeline completeness, and identifying gaps or inconsistencies. Contribute to improving forecasting discipline and accuracy over time.
Discounts Reporting & Process Support: Support the management of the automated Smartsheet-based discount submission and approval process, ensuring completeness and accuracy of inputs. Prepare and compile discount reporting for leadership reviews (e.g., RVP reviews, QBRs), ensuring alignment between submitted, approved, and reported data.
Performance & Compensation Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual attainment reporting for RAMs. Validate data, identify discrepancies, and support alignment between bookings actuals and reported results. Contribute to preparing outputs for Sales Compensation to ensure accurate and timely payouts.
Reporting & Business Intelligence Support: Support the preparation and maintenance of recurring reports, dashboards, and presentations (e.g., Power BI outputs). Develop the capability to independently manage standard reporting and contribute to ad hoc analysis.
Cross-Functional Data Collaboration (PLM & BIA): Work with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA) teams to validate bookings data, identify discrepancies, and support resolution of data issues, improving overall data integrity.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives to enhance renewals processes, including bookings tracking, order flow, and reporting improvements. Help identify inefficiencies, reduce manual work, and improve data usability.
Role Development & Scope Expansion: Begin with structured, repeatable tasks while building knowledge of systems, tools, and processes. Gradually take ownership of more complex activities and support new initiatives (e.g., subscription renewals), contributing to a flexible and resilient team structure.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or a similar data-driven role. Internship or entry-level experience in a sales or analytics environment is also considered.
Sales & Revenue Operations Awareness: Basic understanding of sales processes; interest in Sales or Revenue Operations.
Analytical Skills: Ability to work with data, identify inconsistencies, and support actionable insights.
CRM Familiarity: Experience with Salesforce or similar systems; willingness to learn pipeline and data structures.
BI & Tools: Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query) and familiarity with Power BI or Tableau; exposure to tools like KNIME is a plus.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy when working with large datasets.
Communication & Collaboration: Clear communication and ability to work cross-functionally with Sales and Operations teams.
Organization & Reliability: Ability to manage recurring tasks and deliver consistent outputs.
Learning Mindset: Adaptable, with a willingness to grow into more advanced responsibilities.
