Reliability Electrician IIIPosition Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for an Reliability Electrician III on 4th Shift (Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm) who will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, programming, and improvement initiatives of PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, and controls for plant equipment including, but not limited to process machines, automated material handling, and process support equipment.

NONESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility:
Follow up on assignments in order to assure they are completed and working properly. Assure that proper PPE and safety S.A.F.E. Procedures are used to prevent injury to self and others. Assist manufacturing on downtime if necessary. Assist manufacturing with clean up if necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to climb ladder as needed.
Must be able to work at different heights and elevations.
Must be able to lift, carry and maneuver objects up to 100 lbs. Eight to ten times per day.
Must have good hand-eye coordination.
Must be able to get on and off lift truck as needed
Must be able to stand, walk and bend 8 hours per day.
Must participate in stretching exercises at the beginning of shift.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of how to apply AC/DC drive to a particular application.
Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
Knowledgeable of the concepts of complex PLC program applications.
Knowledgeable in the use of DOS, Windows, RSLogix, RSLinks, RSNetworx and other supplied software.
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems.
Knowledgeable of PID control.
Knowledge of electrical to pneumatic control.
Be able to effectively train technicians at all other levels to perform task successfully and safely.
Satisfactory performance as a Tech II with demonstrated growth and leadership abilities.
Willingness to assist other technicians in their training.
Consistent effort to stay current with new technology, equipment, and regulations.
Knowledge in installing ultrasonic units on weaving machines.
Knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing weaving machines.
Understand the function of a weaving machine.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Trained as a Tech II or equivalent.
Certificate or higher or verifiable experience in electrical related field.
Successful completion Management, Quality, and other classes deemed necessary by management.
LTO Training classes.
Complete Lock Out/ Tag Out training.
Complete update training sessions as necessary.

SAFETY & SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must abide by S.A.F.E. Procedures
Must abide by Lock out/ Tag out Procedures.
Must exercise proper lifting techniques when manually lifting objects.
When operating electrical equipment, always remember the safety of other employees working in the area.
UTILIZING BOOM:
Hoist and Rigging practices, awkward positioning around equipment, used in conjunction with lift truck.
Follow all PIT Procedures; comply with all hoist and rigging standards. Inspect boom for damage. Plug Charger into battery when Boom is returned to staging area.
