Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We’re looking for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our Central Compliance team at MBPS. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the Singapore Central Compliance and Assurance function in its oversight of the Regulatory Compliance Management Program, ensuring that effective regulatory controls and processes are in place to comply with the various regulatory requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the Singapore Local Compliance in conducting reviews in accordance with local regulations and internal policies/procedures.

  • Support the Singapore Local Compliance in the oversight and assessment of regulatory requirements, compliance issues and their business impact, alert them of risk areas, and recommend action to mitigate possible regulatory and reputation consequences.

  • Remediation Monitoring and Validation 

  • Monitoring the remediation actions identified to ensure they are carried out in accordance with the agreed timeline and their effectiveness.

  • Support the Singapore Local Compliance in monitoring, assessment, validation and communication of entries and updates in the Regulatory Compliance Management database/system.

  • Coordination with Asia Segment Compliance Testing 

  • Collaborate with Asia Segment Compliance Testing team to ensure that all audit findings related to compliance testing are appropriately addressed.

  • Assist in programs to enhance effectiveness of compliance testing. 

  • Compliance Reporting

  • Provide support in regulatory compliance communication, reporting and sharing of information.

  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks/projects as requested by Singapore Local Compliance and/or Head of Singapore Central Compliance and Assurance.

 Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, or Audit (financial or non‑financial industry), with strong analytical experience OR At least 3 years of experience in Insurance, Asset Management, Banking, or Financial Services, with strong analytical experience

  • Strong analytical experience with the ability to analyze data, perform gap analysis, evaluate corrective actions, and recommend effective resolutions to identified issues.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate across global and cross‑functional teams

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Legal, Finance, Business, or a related field.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Good interpersonal skills, creative and open minded, willingness to learn and adaptive to change.

    • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products including MS Word, Excel, Power Point.

    • Fluent in English, good English-language writing skills.

    • Flexible and adaptable when dealing with change with a strong awareness and understanding of cultural diversity.

    • Ability to work independently under pressure and make prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment.

    • Diligent in meeting given deadlines.
