Regulatory Chemical Safety Consultant

ERM is looking for a Regulatory Chemical Safety Consultant to join our Product Stewardship team in France. This is a great opportunity for a consultant with 3–5 years of experience in EU REACH and chemical safety who is keen to grow their consulting and project delivery skills within a global sustainability leader.

In this role, you’ll support clients across a range of sectors by helping them navigate EU and global chemical regulations, while working as part of ERM’s international Product Stewardship network.

What you’ll do

  • Support EU REACH regulatory programmes, including IUCLID dossier preparation, data‑sharing activities, and Only Representative services
  • Perform and review CLP classification and labelling
  • Prepare and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for EU and global markets
  • Work with SDS authoring tools (e.g. Lisam ExESS)
  • Prepare Poison Centre Notifications (PCN) and advise on Annex VIII requirements
  • Support clients with product compliance across the lifecycle, including restricted substances, sector‑specific legislation, and country‑specific requirements (e.g. France)
  • Collaborate with international project teams and support regulatory project delivery

What you bring

  • 3–5 years’ experience in chemical regulatory affairs, product stewardship, consultancy or industry
  • Strong working knowledge of REACH, CLP/GHS, SDS and IUCLID
  • Experience with classification & labelling and hazard communication
  • Fluency in French and English
  • A collaborative mindset and motivation to grow in a consulting environment
