Department Details

The Intermediate Care Unit is a 16-bed specialty unit designed for patients who need frequent
monitoring and advanced interventions but do not require the intensity of critical care. Our
team cares for patients recovering from Trans-femoral Aortic Valve Replacements (TAVR),
post-operative surgeries, and acute but stable STEMIs and Non-STEMIs. We also manage
patients with secured airways on ventilators, low-dose vasopressors, and those recovering from
strokes, traumatic injuries, or detoxification. The IMC bridges the gap between intensive care
and general medical-surgical units, offering a safe and supportive environment for patients with
complex medical needs as they continue their recovery
