Registered Nurse: Medical-Surgical-Telemetry unit.
Unit Overview:
6B is a 23-bed post interventional telemetry unit. Staff receive specialized training for post catheterization, femoral sheaths, and Tikosyn administration. Medical and post-procedural patients are cared for on this unit in addition to complex GI Oncology surgical post-op patients and inpatients needing chemotherapy and telemetry.

The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
