The position provides direct and indirect patient care to diagnostic imaging patients and their families utilizing the nursing processes of comprehensive patient assessment, development and implementation of nursing care plans and patient education, and ongoing evaluation. Develops, implements, coordinates an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Adheres to polices, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations and codes to promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience. EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
RN-Registered Nurse of California
ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years recent relevant experience required.
Experience in procedure space, ER, or ICU preferred. Experience administering and monitoring during moderate sedation preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of current trends in nursing.

Experience working with ALL age groups.
Cardiac Imaging knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to utilize medical terminology appropriately.
DEPARTMENT REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Department, Interventional Radiology:
Interventional Radiology Support Nurses
Responsible for coordinating studies alongside the patient’s care team
Participates as a part of a rapid response team and post anesthesia recovery
Participates as an integral member of a procedural team
Competently performs routine and specialized interventional radiology procedures to produce quality images to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orient other staff to the department.

Pay Range is $75.49 to $98.88 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
