About the Team

The EMEA Global Services team include a diverse range of skills and experience from across professional services, functional subject matter expertise and sales fields. The team plays a critical role in connecting Workday’s services and sales organisations; ensuring that we are supporting subscription sales by differentiating Workday’s services approach and methodology, as well as ensuring that our customers are set up to be successful in their deployment projects and meet their business objectives.
Our aim is to be trusted advisors to our prospects and customers, working to Workday’s core values of Customer Service and Integrity, and protecting Workday’s proven track record of customer happiness. Successful candidates will be passionate about evolving and growing a Services Executives team that supports sales cycles, engages with customers to develop deployment strategies and prepares estimates, proposals and contracts.

About the Role

Workday is the leader in enterprise-class, software-as-a-service (SaaS) Financial Management and Human Capital Management Solutions for leading global businesses. 

As an RVP, Global Services, North EMEA (Nordics, Benelux & Poland) leader, you will be responsible for managing and growing a team of Services Executives, Project Delivery Project Directors and Engagement Managers.

Your Services Executive team helps prospects put together a plan for a successful project, including resources, timeline, and costs. You’ll mentor your team in effective selling strategies to optimally position Workday’s SaaS Solutions and Platform technologies as the efficient, modern alternative. You will work closely with our Service Partners to help them plan successful projects and grow their business. Your team of Engagement Managers and Project Directors are focused on successfully deploying the portfolio Workday solutions for Financials & HCM, taking full ownership of successful project deliveries in their region. They will also lead our paid engagements delivering advisory services alongside our most complex partner led deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and align on strategic growth plans with the North EMEA subscription sales team management.

  • Lead a team of Service Executives across North EMEA (Nordics & Benelux).

  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and service forecast data.

  • Work and collaborate with value management and presales teams to optimise processes to better support the sale of Workday software.

  • Collaborate with the North EMEA GPO (Partner) team to ensure growth and good balance of workload within the partner ecosystem.

  • Build a deep understanding of Workday’s value proposition, solutions and services offerings and contribute to the development of our Services portfolio with global teams.

  • Cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with Strategic Service partners.

  • Lead Professional Services statement-of-work and contracting process.

  • Hires, develops and retains a team of highly skilled Engagement Managers dedicated to delivering Financial & HCM projects and ensuring customer satisfaction with the Workday solution maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction across the project portfolio and delivering measurable value and ROI for customers.

  • Works with the internal ecosystem to develop a compelling strategy and messaging regarding the role that Workday and our partners play on deployments.

  • Serves as Executive Sponsor on critical sales cycles and projects & escalation point, for resolving customer implementation issues.

  • Delivers on quarterly reference, CSAT, utilization, forecasting & revenue objectives.

  • Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs so you can optimally position Workday Professional Services – be it on Workday or partner led engagements.

About You

  • 10+ years experience managing and building international teams.

  • 10+ years experience in consulting project delivery, ideally with experience in Management Consulting which resulted in high CSAT and ROI for customers.

  • 10+ years experience leading sophisticated SaaS sales cycles from start to finish in an environment where close alignment with partners is critical as well as in competitive services sales cycles within a managed ecosystem.

  • Having a clear track record of successfully acting as an Executive Sponsor, building strong trusting relationships with prospect & client senior leaders.

  • Ability and track record in balancing customer satisfaction & success with revenue and profitability objectives.

  • Willingness to ‘roll up one’s sleeves’ and assist wherever needed.

  • Proven track record to thrive and excel in a lean, fast-paced, dynamic environment with high performance expectations.

  • The successful candidate must demonstrate proven experience in emotionally intelligent leadership, utilizing this strength to effectively challenge and improve current ways of working while maintaining positive and productive professional relationships.

  • Strong track record in selling using consultative, value based, selling methodologies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English is critical. Any other European language skills would be a plus.

  • Located within Nordics or Benelux and ability to travel up to 35%.
