The Regional Sales Manager is a critical role in each sales region across Canada where they will report to and be second in command to the Regional Vice President (RVP). Importantly they will be helping to drive sales, develop their team, and build strategy for future sales growth. Broadly they will support the RVP in all activities related to achieving sales targets and business plan goals. In this role they will directly lead the regional Mortgage Specialists, supporting their sales efforts and assist in achieving the overall regional sales targets. To do this, they will be required to have a thorough understanding of the mortgage sales process, underwriting guidelines and flow of business. They will also drive strategy and implement change necessary to achieve cross-sell objectives for deposit products, credit card sales, creditor insurance sales, and more. The Regional Sales Manager is someone who:

Position Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Mortgage Sales Specialists:
Responsible for managing and motivating the team to increase company revenue and achieve sales targets
All necessary hiring and training of new members of their Mortgage Specialist sales team
Monitoring sales performance and addressing issues when necessary
Manage underwriting questions and escalated or complex file work that the team needs support with
Coaching of the team through recorded call monitoring, joining live calls between the Mortgage Specialist and/or client, and participating in live 1:1 advisor/Mortgage Specialist meetings
Review rate discretion inquiries from the team to make a decision on discounting and application of various promotions
The RSS will be considered a SME for the MS role and will be called upon to provide input for training needs and project support.
Provide back up support to the MS team to cover vacations/time-off/vacancies when required.
Review and provide analysis on NIGO files (Intake and CRT) to help identify trends and training opportunities for the MS and MSA teams
Assist the RVP with sales-related activities. This includes:
Preparing and providing analysis of sales reports to help inform and build regional sales strategy
Implements and executes existing and new/enhanced sales practices guidelines, business processes, and procedures
Build relationships and collaborate with key partners across the organization to facilitate Sales Team requests
Ensure flow of business occurs seamlessly by coordinating field activities and directing business to the appropriate servicing unit of the Bank
Receiving, researching and responding to advisor/Business Development Manager (BDM)/head office inquiries relating to deals and providing information
Help lead and run sales related events within the region, including presenting strategy and product updates in front of mortgage brokers, advisors and/or clients
Other duties as required to support the RVP with implementing their sales strategy and achieving sales goals.
Participate in regular touchpoints with BDM and BDM-RVP to ensure MS and BDM teams are aligned in executing on the sales strategy.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with strong time management skills
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and business acumen, including prospecting capabilities
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with SPH and internal and external partners
Results‑oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
Self‑motivated, quick learner with initiative, adaptability, and a positive team‑oriented mindset
Ability to investigate issues independently and manage escalation requests
Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and tight deadlines
College or university degree in a related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Mortgage Specialist
Solid understanding of mortgage underwriting policies and processes
Experience conducting virtual meetings and presentations
Working knowledge of Salesforce.com (mandatory)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.
