Position Summary
RPM will be responsible for the product life cycle management within Product Category for Region / Country / Market.
(Regional all Africa or Premium or Mass or Tablets etc.)
1. Contribute to expanding the product's market coverage by setting up a product line-up operation plan.
2. Contribute to maximizing sales and minimizing loss by managing product lifecycle and developing pricing strategy to meet the target sales for the product.
Role and Responsibilities
Major KPI's
Product life cycle management - (Product strategy, Plan, Promotional Activity Plan, Plan Tracking & Plan Update) Data Analysis of S/in, S/out, M/S Profit Growth Management PSI & Mkt Budgets Management Relationship management & alignment
1. [Line-up management] Perform the development and management of the line-up portfolio plan and efficiency improvement efforts and market issue response.
2. [Launch management] Perform the product/service launch timeline setting by analyzing the new model's target quantity and its profit and loss, and by working with the marketing department.
3. [Pricing operation] Participate in devising the pricing operation strategy of each segment and model.
4. [Discontinuation management] Devise the plans to minimize the leftover materials when a product is to be discontinued by setting appropriate discontinuation timeline and plans to utilize the leftover materials.
- Manage Product Category Life Cycle and Support for Region / Country
- Develop PM Strategy & Yearly plan for Regional/Country Product Category / Budget, Expense Management / Product Selection, Channel Mix / Price / Promotions & Channel to market.
- PLC Management
- Pricing Strategy & confirm Pricing Policy Monthly
- Create regional Launch Plan for all new Product Launches
- Manage T&C Incentive Scheme
- Track Forecast sell-in / sell-through / sell-out, Market / Channel Info and actions with Regional / Country
- Weekly Data updates, sharing, analysis with subsidiaries
- Analyze all Sales data with Regional/Country & suggest new strategies for product segment(s)
- Region / Country Market Sensing, analysis and requirements – strategy, channel to market, sales & profit, market & economic trends, benchmarking, competitor comparison and A.P.I measurements.

Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications
- Grade 12/Matric – Essential
- A relevant Degree/ Diploma Marketing or Product Management - Essential
Experience
- 5 years PM & Product Launch experience in Mobile Phone (Premium/Mass/Tablets etc.) or DA / TV / AV or FMCG - Essential
- 3-5 years PM/Sales Africa experience within the Consumer Electronics Or Mobile Industry will be advantage.
- Data based Sales vs. PM role understanding/analysis (Sell-in by KAM, Sell-through by KCM & Sell-out by Retail Manager at branch level / in-country)
- Channel & Retail Innovation / local market development experience in East & West Africa Area.
