GENERAL FUNCTION:

Provide leadership and direction in a region, in alignment with the Bancorp strategic priorities and initiatives.

 

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Accountable for planning, implementation, and control of the region's organizational objectives, from these objectives develops short- and long-term goals for the region.

·       Establish and maintain relations with other companies, businesses, community, and governmental agencies.

·       Significant involvement and participation in community and non-profit efforts

·       Manage and lead the region divisions.

·       Responsible for the overall profitability and business development of the region while leveraging networks to accelerate business development across all LOBs of the bank

·       Review financial and operating statements.

·       Analyze the performance and drive the success of each division.

·       Continuous recruiting of local talent knows and sustains pipeline of talent; exhibits ability to attract and retain top talent.

·       Champions employee development and succession planning.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing employees timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback, developing employees to their fullest potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth, developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession to ensure talent reflects the communities in which we serve, recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments. Direct reports include the heads of the commercial Middle Market, Business Banking Sales Wealth & Asset Management, Middle Market Treasury Management, and marketing divisions.

 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

·       Previous experience in a leadership capacity within Fifth Third Bank preferred

·       Knowledge of all divisions within the Bancorp preferred.

·       BA or BS required; MBA preferred.

·       Demonstrated community involvement and participation

·       Minimum of 10 years sales leadership experience.

·       Ability to lead through -leaders

·       Strong understanding of financial drivers.

·       Exceptional communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

·       Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature, and the like.

·       Extended viewing of the CRT screen.

·       Ability and willingness to travel as required.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
