This role is within the EDS segment, and you will be joining that segment as it becomes its own entity, with a rich heritage and proven track record as a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems. Your Role
As the Regional Logistics Operations Director (EMEA), reporting to the Global Logistics team, you will oversee the execution of logistics operations across the EMEA region for the Electric Distribution Systems (EDS) Business Unit. You will drive the deployment of regional logistics strategies, strengthen partnerships with key logistics providers, and elevate the end‑to‑end order‑to‑delivery experience.
In this leadership role, you will also contribute to the Global Logistics and Global Supply Chain teams by bringing an enterprise‑wide mindset, supporting organizational maturity, and enabling EDS’ continued growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Operational Excellence & Performance
- Overseeing logistics operations across EMEA and ensuring strong execution aligned with EDS’ strategy.
- Reporting and improving logistics performance for sites under your scope, driving continuous improvement against KPIs.
- Addressing performance issues with logistics service providers and supporting complex logistics operations with EDS plants.
- Leading or participating in global and regional cost‑improvement initiatives.
- Facilitating monthly business reviews with stakeholders to present performance, spend, savings and improvement actions.
Team Leadership & Development
- Leading, mentoring and developing the EMEA logistics team toward operational excellence.
- Delivering training on logistics processes, project management, sourcing, KPIs, and incoterms.
- Identifying and developing talent within the regional logistics organization.
Sourcing Excellence Support
- Supporting sourcing, selection and onboarding of logistics service providers focused on cost, service and quality.
- Translating operational needs into sourcing requirements and supporting contract execution.
- Managing sourcing projects end‑to‑end and ensuring a smooth transition to logistics operations.
- Supporting budget development and providing cost‑related inputs for forecasting.
Digital Systems & Platform Deployment
- Supporting EDS deployment of logistics digital tools including:
- Freight Bill & Audit System
- Project44 (real‑time visibility)
- TMS rollout across EMEA
Requirements
- Senior‑level experience (10+ years) in logistics, supply chain, transportation or operations within an international organization.
- Proven leadership experience managing regional or multi‑site logistics teams.
- Strong expertise in managing logistics service providers and driving performance improvements.
- Advanced analytical skills; ability to work with large datasets and translate insights into operational actions.
- Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional or cross‑regional projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) strongly preferred.
- Experience with TMS, Project44, or freight audit platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to travel within the EMEA region.
- Fluency in English (spoken & written).
- Strategic, enterprise‑minded approach with the ability to contribute to global logistics and supply chain goals.
