Regional IT Application Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Application Analyst position is responsible for supporting and optimizing regional business applications and related processes. The role requires a strong understanding of operational workflows and the ability to translate business requirements into effective IT solutions. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, the analyst ensures applications meet business needs, drive efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Application Support and Maintenance
Provide operational support for regional business applications, ensuring availability, stability, and performance. Coordinate with IT teams and vendors to resolve incidents and implement changes in line with established standards and SLAs.

Business Process Analysis
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications. Analyze existing workflows, identify gaps, and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Requirements Management
Gather, document, and validate business requirements. Ensure alignment between user needs, technical capabilities, and global IT standards. Support IT development teams in implementing and testing agreed solutions.

Data Management and Reporting
Monitor and maintain data accuracy within regional applications. Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to support informed business decision-making and ensure data integrity across systems.

Testing and Quality Assurance
Prepare and execute test plans, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate that implemented solutions meet defined requirements and quality expectations.

User Training and Documentation
Develop and maintain user guides, process documentation, and knowledge base materials. Provide training and day-to-day support to end users to ensure effective system adoption and utilization.

Project Participation and Coordination
Support application-related projects by assisting with requirements gathering, testing, and implementation activities. Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.

Continuous Improvement
Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance application performance, usability, and process efficiency.

REQUIRED CORE SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Certifications such as ITIL, Business Analysis (CBAP), or Project Management (PMP/Prince2) are advantageous.

Work Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT application support, business analysis, or related roles.

- Experience in managing or supporting regional or local business applications.

- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into IT solutions.

- Experience with data management, reporting tools, and process documentation.

- Exposure to project environments and familiarity with change management processes.

Technical Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Knowledge of business process modeling and improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is an advantage.

- Understanding of project management principles and practices, including planning, coordination, and delivery tracking.

 - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

- Familiarity with reporting tools, data analysis, and application support practices is desirable.

- Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional regional languages are an asset.
