Our NSW business is entering a phase of sustained growth. To support our ongoing success, we are seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Reporting to the business Head of Human Resources & Industrial Relations, you will work closely with the Regional Management team in NSW to be a critical partner in translating corporate and regional objectives into high-impact regional strategies. You will lead and mentor a large team of seasoned HR professionals across our NSW projects, ensuring both strategic alignment and seamless operational delivery across a high-performing workforce.

 

As a trusted business partner to Senior Management, your focus will be on navigating the complexities of a dynamic growth environment. You will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our HR functions, ensuring that local initiatives remain integrated with our overarching national goals while delivering measurable outcomes for the NSW region.
 

What will you be Responsible for?

  • Leadership and Culture: Leverage corporate tools and strategy to support the development of high-performing leaders and teams.
  • Workforce planning: Develop strategic planning to utilise internal talent while working with internal recruitment teams to resource key skills.
  • HR and IR Management: Oversee HR and IR plans, ensuring project HR teams align with corporate policies and practices.
  • Employee Relations: Provide strategic advice on workplace relations and manage disciplinary actions, grievances, and terminations.
  • Performance Management: Lead talent reviews, performance evaluations, and diversity-focused initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industrial relations and company policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Competencies

What capabilities will you need to be successful?

  • Experience in a senior leadership role within the HR/IR environment, ideally in a similar industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • Highly proficient with employment law, regulations and best practices in HR
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Proven experience with  Industrial Relations and EBA negotiation.
