The Regional Health and Safety Leader – Americas is responsible for shaping, operationalizing, and continuously improving Health & Safety practices across ResMed’s Distribution network in the Americas region. This role ensures consistent implementation of safety standards, risk management processes, and cultural expectations across multiple distribution centers (both internal and 3PL-operated) while aligning fully to the Global H&S strategy and frameworks.
This leader will partner closely with regional Supply Chain, Distribution and site leaders to build strong local capabilities, drive compliance, and elevate safety performance. While the role is regionally focused, it plays a critical part in ensuring Americas Distribution is fully aligned with ResMed’s global Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) and supports global best-practice sharing.

Regional Leadership & Governance
Lead the Americas Distribution H&S strategy in alignment with the Global H&S organization, ensuring regional objectives support global goals.
Serve as the primary safety advisor for Distribution operations across the Americas, partnering with Regional Operations Leaders, SCLT members, and onsite H&S leads.
Drive a strong, consistent safety culture across internal sites and 3PL-managed facilities.
Standards, Systems & Compliance
Implement and operationalize global H&S standards, policies, and procedures within the Americas Distribution environments.
Build and maintain region-specific systems, workflows, and documentation that support local regulatory requirements while staying aligned with global governance.
Coordinate and support internal and partner-site audits, ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
Identify regional risk trends and emerging issues, proactively developing mitigation plans with site leadership and 3PL partners.
Lead initiatives that reduce injuries, improve ergonomics, strengthen material-handling safety, and enhance automation-related safety readiness.
Support incident investigations and ensure systemic learnings are shared across the Americas network.
Capability Building & Coaching
Develop and mentor H&S professionals across the Americas Distribution network, reinforcing local ownership and leadership accountability.
Provide guidance and learning programs for supervisors, warehouse teams, and 3PL partners to embed safe behaviors and practices.
Promote knowledge sharing across regions and contribute Americas insights to global networks.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Oversee safety performance data, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely reporting to regional and global stakeholders.
Support ESG-related safety reporting requirements by providing regional Distribution inputs and performance insights.
Track progress against leading and lagging indicators to drive action-oriented safety improvements.
Integration & Change Management
Lead H&S integration for new distribution and manufacturing sites, expansions, process changes, and automation initiatives within the Americas.
Ensure seamless alignment to the Global HSMS during transitions or onboarding of new 3PL partners.
Support readiness assessments and safety implications of new technologies or operational models.
Regional Business Partnering
Act as an embedded H&S business partner to Americas Supply Chain and Distribution leadership teams.
Provide strategic input into network design, operational planning, and risk mitigation activities.
Foster cross-functional alignment across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and HR to support safe, reliable performance.
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
8–12+ years of progressive H&S leadership experience within distribution, logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
Strong working knowledge of regional H&S regulations (U.S., Canada, LATAM) and alignment with global standards such as ISO 45001.
Demonstrated experience implementing safety programs across multi-site or multi-partner logistics networks.
Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to influence across internal teams and 3PL partners.
Experience supporting automation, warehouse technology, or systems change highly desirable

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is: $142,000 - $214,000
