Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As a result, the company is working to provide our differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients that would benefit through our out-patient clinic partnerships.

All Healogics employees must perform their job responsibilities according to all Healogics policies, Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable. The Regional Director of Safety (RDS) is responsible for the orientation and assessment of Healogics’ hyperbaric facilities and hyperbaric plans. The RDS may be assigned to a center(s), zone(s), area(s), or territory(s), or they may be assigned a task based on availability or skill set. Travel will include in-person visits to company meetings, center visits, and training events.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:  

  • Conduct on-site or livestream training and competency assessments of Tcoms, chamber operations, and emergency chamber operations at new centers, synergy centers, and existing centers

  • Conduct on-site or livestream center hyperbaric assessments by use of department assigned tools at new centers, synergy centers, and existing centers

  • Conduct annual center level hyperbaric safety assessments by use of livestreaming

  • Educate our centers on the use, intent, and meaning of standard work, processes, policies, and manuals regarding the centers’ hyperbaric program

  • Answer Ask the Expert emails or other department emails

  • Answer questions called into the department’s phone number

  • Development content and present during department events, to include, but not limited to, HBO Safety Club Calls, Chamber Chats, Safety Tech Orientations, Safety Tech Training, Introductory Hyperbaric Courses, and Tcom Course-work

  • Conduct on-site or livestream incident and accident investigations

  • Answer other department’s questions with hyperbaric or safety related inquiries

  • Develop center plans for UHMS accreditation

  • Performs other duties as required

Required Education, Experience and Credentials:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Safety, or related field and 1 year of hyperbaric experience, or

  • High School Diploma and 5 years of relevant work experience.

    • Relevant work experience includes hyperbaric, nursing, and management with no less than 1 year of hyperbaric experience.

Credentials:

  • Active licensure or certification in an allied health care profession such as (but not limited to) RN, RT, LPN, LVN, EMT, RMA, CMA, CHT, CHT-A, CHS, CHWS, CHRN, and  

  • This position requires all the following certifications and to remain certified while in the RDS role:

    • Basic Life Support with AED, within four (4) months of start date,

    • Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) within three (3) years of start date, and

    • CHT, CHT-Admin, CHS, CHWS, or CHRN within three (3) years of start date.

  • This position requires an active state issued driver’s license at the time of position acceptance.

    • No DWI or DUI within the past two (2) years.

  • A working knowledge of the following software applications: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and to report as such.

  • Ability to interpret technical instructions from written communication or user manuals.
