About the role

  • As the Expert Engagement Leader (EL) at Haleon, you will be responsible to manage and lead a team of Expert Engagement Partners (EPs) for the successful implementation of omnichannel strategies for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
  • This role combines leadership, strategy and a deep understanding of healthcare landscape, with a focus in driving growth and optimizing engagement across multiple digital and traditional channels.
  • You will play a key role in meeting Strategic Expert KPIs by ensuring the seamless execution of omnichannel initiatives that align with our mission to deliver meaningful, impactful and timely medical information to HCPs.

Key responsibilities

  • Leads, motivates, and supports the team in achieving their individual and collective/regional targets within Haleon values and behaviours.
  • Enhances skills and capabilities by providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and trainings to improve product/category knowledge, detailing/selling and digital skills to improve expert engagement success.
  • Adapts to changes in the industry, market dynamics, and company strategies, and guide the team through transitions effectively.
  • Oversees the effective planning and implementation of Omnichannel Engagement Strategies within his/her territory.
  • Meets targets for face to face and digital field force KPIs.
  • Ensures EPs engage with their HCPs through various channels and successfully implements Omni-CH customer journeys. 
  • Monitors, analyses, and acts on data to increase territory performance, ensuring teams meet or exceed expert/consumption/market share targets, prioritizing Strategic Expert KPIs and Digital & Direct Reach targets.
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of HCP landscape & competition.
  • Engages on those HCPs/KOLs that influence the consumer’s purchase along the consumer experience journey. 
  • Collaborates with EPs to develop and execute territory-specific strategies that optimizes HCP engagement across channels and maximizes recommendation.
  • Drives territory growth by identifying key growth areas and prioritizing efforts/investment within the right focus and proper segmentation and targeting of HCPs.
  • Guides EPs on the distribution of samples to maximize patient trials and conversions to purchase.
  • Ensures policies, procedures and Haleon SOPs are clear with the team and followed in full accordance with compliance.
  • Continuously evaluates and adopts best practices for omnichannel engagement with HCPs, ensuring that the team remains at the forefront of industry developments and innovations
  • Fosters effective cross-functional collaboration with Expert Marketing, Omni-Channel, SFE/Capability, Commercial, Medical, Compliance and other teams to ensure alignment and consistency in expert efforts.

Qualifications and skills
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Additional qualifications or certifications in leadership, management, or sales are beneficial.
  • 3 -5 years of experience as an FLL, with a successful track record.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analysing sales data, KPIs, and engagement metrics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Digital Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems, digital marketing tools, and online communication platforms.
  • Change Management: Proven ability to drive change.
  • Results-Driven: Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets and performance goals.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and with cross-functional teams.
  • Coaching Expertise: Experience in coaching and developing sales teams to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Adaptability: Capability to navigate through changes, adapt to evolving market dynamics, and lead the team effectively.
