Job Description & Summary

PwC Luxembourg is hiring a Regulation Banking Associate (m/f/d)

What if it was you?

Your Mission

Our Regulation Banking team supports financial institutions in Luxembourg and abroad to understand, interpret, and implement complex European and local banking regulations. From CRR/CRD and Basel standards to DORA and ESG, our mission is to help our clients stay compliant, enhance their governance, and strengthen their operational resilience.

You will join a multidisciplinary team of experts working with banks, investment firms, and payment institutions to ensure they meet supervisory expectations while maintaining efficient and sustainable business models.

Be a part of our team where you will:

  • Analyse and interpret regulatory frameworks (CRR/CRD, Basel III/IV, EBA Guidelines, CSSF Circulars, ECB expectations, etc.).

  • Support clients in the implementation of new regulatory requirements and the adaptation of their internal policies, procedures, and governance structures.

  • Contribute to regulatory transformation projects such as DORA, ESG integration, ICAAP/ILAAP reviews, or internal control enhancement.

  • Participate in drafting regulatory documentation (policies, risk appetite statements, internal governance frameworks, etc.).

  • Conduct benchmarking and impact assessments on upcoming regulations.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (risk, finance, IT, sustainability) to deliver comprehensive solutions.

  • Prepare client deliverables, presentations, and technical summaries.

  • Develop trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across PwC’s network.

Let’s talk about you. If you have/are:

  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Law, or a related field.

  • Around 1–3 years of relevant experience (including internships) within a bank, consulting firm, or regulatory body, ideally in regulatory advisory, compliance, prudential reporting, or internal audit.

  • A good understanding of European and Luxembourg banking regulation (CRR/CRD, Basel, ECB, CSSF frameworks).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • The ability to manage several topics simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Full proficiency in English; knowledge of French and/or German is a strong asset.

  • A genuine interest in regulation, supervision, and the evolving landscape of the financial industry.

You are the one we are looking for!
