Scope
The Recon Refurb Operator A will work on a wide range of duties. They will support all functions of the Recon department in processing returned tools from receiving material, to shipping of the material to the distribution organization and all tasks in between.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive packages, open boxes, and remove packing material from the receiving area
- Charge, test, sort, clean, and pack Batteries and Chargers for refurbishment or recycling
- Sort, inspect, clean, process, pack, and stack tools of various sizes for refurbishment or disposal
- Sort and stock parts, manuals, and accessories for tools
- Cross-train throughout the department to be able to work on various lines and tasks as assigned, creating a One Team Mentality
- Always work with Safety in mind, wearing proper PPE and reporting any issues to the Team Lead or other management
- Practice 5S to keep work areas clean during and at the end of the shift
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
- Prefer High School education or 2-3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment
- Possessing effective communication skills, reading/writing, and both oral and written communication is required
- Basic computer skills
Physical Demands
- Standing/Walking for extended periods of time
- Repetitive motion
- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers
- Frequent lifting up to 50lbs – team lifts over 50lbs
- Able to work in various temperature conditions
