About

The Referrals Manager – Complex Litigation is responsible for ensuring prospective clients not retained by Morgan & Morgan are placed with the right firm to pursue their case. This role combines relationship management and business development with operations and data driven decision-making. A successful Referrals Manager will be adept at strategically identifying, placing, and overseeing referred-out cases to ensure clients consistently receive exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, highly organized, data-driven, and a natural relationship builder.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as cross-functional leader within Morgan & Morgan to design and implement intake criteria to appropriately screen potential clients for retention and referral
  • Analyze client intake outcomes to uncover missed opportunities by identifying turned down cases that could have potential for outbound referral
  • Liaise with the group’s Leadership to determine the best partner to send specific cases, based on areas of expertise, litigation leadership, and other factors.
  • Serve as account manager and key point of contact with partner firms, remaining abreast of their case types of interest, negotiating terms of referrals, and owning process to refer out clients to prospective firm
  • Manage process for onboarding referral firms and implement a seamless referral process, including execution of all agreements, systems integration / adoption, and other data sharing
  • Develop and maintain dashboards or regular reporting for leadership on outbound referral performance and financial impact
  • Monitor referred-out cases for proper work up and own KPI tracking, including presentation of performance reports for internal stakeholders
  • Remain abreast of active Mass Tort litigations, industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities
  • Consistently meet or exceed performance targets and financial goals

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of total work experience in account / partner management, operations, strategy, or finance roles
  • Operational discipline, with demonstrated ability to follow-through and execute
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and actionable insights in large data sets and drive decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with both
  • internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Willingness to participate in key industry and mass tort conferences (e.g., MTMP, AAJ, and similar events) to build relationships, stay current on emerging litigations, and strengthen the firm’s referral network
  • Clear, confident communication with ability to engage professionally with attorneys and other legal professionals through thoughtful outreach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Salesforce and/or BI tools (e.g., Power BI) a plus
  • Familiarity with Complex Litigation / Mass Tort litigation and lifecycle a plus
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, particularly around structuring agreements, aligning on terms, and managing competing interests
  • Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment across multiple high-priority projects

Salary Range
$100,000$125,000 USD
