Job Summary: The Eielson AFB Outdoor Recreation provides facilities and equipment for all military personnel and their families. Outdoor Recreation is organizing and executing outdoor events for all to enjoy. Work schedule subject but not limited to: Sunday - Saturday : 06:00AM to 11:00PM Incumbent must be 21+ years of age. Major Duties:

  • Performs and/or assists in the operation and maintenance of Skeet & Trap facilities. Assigns stations to be used, operates release controller, rents firearms and sells items in the lodge. Conducts inventories of resale items, ammunition, and firearms. May be required to inventory facility equipment and other supply items. Demonstrates and instructs participants on the proper use and safety of equipment and provides guidance and instruction on skeet & trap techniques. Informs supervisor of equipment malfunctions as well as other items needing maintenance or repair. Assists in the advertising and recruiting participants for special events. Encourages patron interest in scheduled skeet & trap events and tournaments. Ensures only authorized patrons use skeet & trap facilities. Ensure all sales, fees and charges are rung up on the point of sales system. Ensures activities are properly scheduled, facilities are set up and rules and regulations are observed. Opens and closes the Skeet & Trap facility as required. Performs a variety of general tasks involved with maintenance of the facilities and grounds to include running hand lawnmower, powered lawnmowers, snowblower, snowplow truck, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods.
