Job Summary: About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation and Auto Hobby at Offutt AFB.

Major Duties:

  • Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants and for specialists in the operation and maintenance or Bldg 362. Types of duties include but arc not limited to the following: Sets up areas for scheduled activities; records attendance; schedules appointments; notifies customer of schedule changes; arranges for equipment or tools, charging them out to customers, and checking them for condition on their return: checks the established safety system of the facility, tools, and equipment; posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about item, place, transportation, or 01her matters related to activities scheduled; takes inventory of authori1.ed recreation supplies and equipment: and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks. Accepts payment for various service and use fees and damages to, or loss of, tools. Checks and empties trash cans in the shop and can wash areas; replaces bags/liners; cleans inside of trash cans us needed. Cleans and services equipment rental fleet and automotive equipment in preparation for customer check out. Cleans car wash area to include clearing away all paper, litter and debris, i.e., sand, dirt, cigarette butts, mud, grass. Operates government vehicles and utility carts as needed in daily duties. May operate wheel balance and wheel removing equipment and/or assist customers with proper operation ofau1omo1ive lifts. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures is desirable. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment end facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Familiarity with hand tools used in the maintenance and repair of automobiles and lhe ability to perfonn minor repairs und servicing tools is desirable. Requires frequent standing, stooping, bending, and arm movement. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a physical examination. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must have a valid driver's license to operate government vehicles. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). This is a drug testing designated position.
