That is why we need you, an experienced Records Management Specialist who can provide high-quality support.

As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical specialist for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development (R&D) programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. You’ll work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. You’ll leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. You’ll also maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies. 

You'll serve as a Records Management Specialist helping clients to develop records storage and operation strategy, establish new business processes, and complete research and analysis to determine viable solutions. You will be responsible for supporting the agency’s ongoing compliance, managing incoming requirements, and being readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Support ARPA-H’s records storage planning and operations.
  • Provide support for the agency’s ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with records management requirements and support federal-wide records management reform efforts.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to agency staff and contractors for the appropriate handling, maintenance, and disposition of records.
  • Assist in records management program oversight and self-assessment.
  • Support Records Management Inspection Reviews.
  • Work with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer to assure records management technology in use is consistent with ARPA-H, NIH, or HHS enterprise architecture.
  • Work very closely with legal counsel within ARPA-H or HHS to ensure records or information assets are managed to mitigate records-related litigation risks.
  • Review records from the National Archives and Records Administration.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with federal records management
  • Experience establishing and running an ongoing records management program
  • Experience operating within the federal space
  • Experience interacting and communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience supporting a government R&D or ARPA agency such as DARPA or ARPA-E
  • Experience with U.S. government health organizations
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects effectively
  • Ability to pay strict attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
