Job Summary: Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Major Duties:

  • Incumbent is assigned to one or more specialized recreational activities within the Semper Fit Division, such as Active-Duty Recreation Center, Party Adventure Recreation Center, Information Tickets and Tours Office, Fitness/Athletics, Golf Course, Bob Hope Theater. Performs and/or assists in the operation of the recreation activity. Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned tasks and duties of the designated activity. Assist patrons at the facility with a friendly and professional demeanor. Typical assignments may include, assisting at events/tournaments/activities being held at the facility, informing patrons of facility rules and regulations, assisting with or conducting tours and field trips, and other facility specific duties as directed. Demonstrates procedures common to the activities and instructs in the use of related equipment. Helps to plan and coordinate details of recreational activities and maintains related supplies. Assists in planning, scheduling and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants. Sells retail merchandise such as snacks and beverages. Will be responsible for restocking items and presenting merchandise in a neat and orderly fashion. Responsible for operating a cash register, receiving payments, and making change. Must handle cash with accuracy. Provides exceptional customer service by connecting with people in a meaningful way. Upholds high service standards through respect, courtesy, professionalism, and teamwork. Takes the initiative to solve problems quickly but recognizes when to seek assistance from supervisor to solve issues and or problems. Collaborates in a professional, supportive, and proactive manner. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.\ This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum one year experience in a related recreational activity. Knowledge of basic cash handling techniques and basic math are a requirement. Must be able to professionally interact with coworkers and patrons. Skill to learn applicable MCCS policies and procedures. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance
