Job Summary: About the Position: This position serves as a Realty Specialist and Real Property Accountable Officer for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH), Ft. Myer, Virginia

Major Duties:

  • Manages real property assets owned, leased, or held by Joint Base Myers-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH).
  • Manages the technical preparation and update of Inventory of Army Military Real Property.
  • Determines the cost-effectiveness of maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and conversions.
  • Receives and coordinates all requests for facilities space from all installation tenants, other Department of Defense (DoD) activities, and the general public
  • Maintains records of this space in terms of amount, type, and value and prepares documents to satisfy various reporting requirements.
  • Administers the land management program; coordinates in-grant and out-grant real estate documents.
  • Develops and monitors the technical operation of the Installation Plan to ensure proper utilization, assignment, and management of assets in accordance with pertinent Army regulations and Engineer Regulations (ER).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Providing data to attest to the audit readiness and to assure compliance with public laws and regulations. 2) Updating real property inventory and records. 3) Interpreting technical compliance involving space management and creating availability for installations as a space utilization officer. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirements using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
