Real Estate Lawyer (1-3 yrs) – Sydney

We are seeking a Real Estate lawyer to join our team, one of the largest and most experienced real estate practices in Australia.

This role sits within our marketleading team advising on some of the most significant, complex and highvalue real estate transactions in the Australian market. You will work closely with leading partners, Felicity Savage, Francesca Giorlando, Jessica Wallis and Stuart Dixon-Smith across the full lifecycle of commercial real estate matters, including major developments, acquisitions, disposals and capital partnering.

The team

Our Real Estate team advises Australian and international investors, developers, funds and corporates across office, retail, industrial, residential, buildtorent, infrastructureadjacent and mixeduse assets. The team is recognised for delivering integrated advice that reflects commercial realities and market dynamics.

Lawyers in the team work on headline transactions and developments, often in collaboration with colleagues across tax, construction, finance, FIRB, ACCC and environment and planning.

In this role, you will:

  • Advise on acquisitions and disposals of commercial real estate assets.

  • Draft, negotiate and review key transactional and development documentation.

  • Support major real estate developments from structuring through delivery.

  • Work directly with clients and collaborate across practice groups.

You will have:

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a strong knowledge of the real estate industry - to deliver prompt and commercially astute advice

  • Strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability - you will play a key role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with our clients

  • Team focus – an ability and willingness to mentor junior colleagues and support other team members

  • First rate experience in drafting complex agreements and allocating risk in a commercially appropriate manner

  • Recognised major development experience gained in a similar environment

  • Strong technical skills, sound commercial judgement and attention to detail.

  • A genuine interest in complex, largescale real estate work.
