The Opportunity
We have a newly created opportunity for a Rates Coordinator to join our Finance (Legal Accounts) team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will be based in our Sydney office.
Working closely with our Rates Specialist and Pricing team, this role will be responsible for coordinating You will provide support in managing and maintaining our firm's rates processes, ensuring compliance with client agreements.You will also assist in driving continuous process improvements.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to build effective relationships across teams. There is an excellent opportunity for career progression for the right motivated person.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the resolution of rates queries from practice administrators (secretaries), lawyers, partners and the Clients & Markets team;
Manage a high volume of special rate requests, escalating complex queries as required;
Regularly monitor volume discount arrangements and revise client rates as necessary, ensuring supporting documentation is retained appropriately;
Support the annual client agreement review process, including reviewing client letters for dispatch and ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and properly recorded/communicated. This includes liaising with relevant stakeholders to obtain information and ensure all sources of data are correct and consistent;
Ensure compliance with rate structures as outlined in tender agreements and client contracts.
What We Are Looking For:
At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role within a professional services environment (law firm experience will be highly advantageous)
Demonstrated experience handling high volume transactions with great accuracy and diligence
Familiarity with a practice management system, ideally Aderant Expert (advantageous)
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
A positive, team player attitude with the willingness and desire to learn
Intermediate MS Excel (desirable) and competent with other Microsoft Office programs
