About the role

We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for complete cost management, including quantity verification, payment certification, variation assessment, and preparation of monthly cost reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all contractual documents, BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, tender schedules, and rate analyses to fully understand project scope and cost implications.
  • Establish and maintain the cost baseline by validating quantities, rates, and contract value elements at the project outset.
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from construction drawings and reconcile them with tender BOQ quantities.
  • Prepare, review, and verify detailed quantity measurement sheets for all civil, structural, MEP, architectural, external works, and specialized packages.
  • Prepare and certify Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), ensuring accurate assessment of progress and compliance with contract terms. Evaluate contractor claims, additional works, rate applications, and assess entitlement in line with contractual provisions.
  • Evaluate Variation Orders (VOs) with clear breakdowns of quantities, rates, productivity allowances, and justification reports.
  • Track and monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets and cashflow plans.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Additional certification in Quantity Surveying / Cost Control (RICS, CIOB, CCE, PQS) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost control, and contract administration within construction, consultancy, or PMC environments.
  • Proven experience in managing commercial aspects of building construction projects. Strong exposure to BOQs, rate analyses, tender evaluations, and cost reporting
