Specialist Automation Engineer, Actimize (Performance Testing)

Within Actimize, the X-Sight Next Gen team is developing the next generation advanced cloud platform for building the solutions to fight Financial Crime. As part of the PaaS/SaaS development group, you will be responsible for improving business performance, increasing operational efficiency for the relevant platform services for Actimize cloud-based solutions and to work with cutting edge cloud technologies.

Have you got what it takes? 

• Understanding detail requirements for Functional, Non-Functional, and Usability to test SaaS based applications and backend services. 

• Design and execute functional/performance test scenarios to assess scalability, responsiveness, and stability under various load conditions. 

• Develop detailed functional/performance test cases covering critical scenarios. Conduct exploratory functional/performance testing to identify potential bottlenecks and areas for optimization. 

• Automate performance test cases using tools like JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner to enable efficient regression testing. 

• Experience using and collecting performance test data from Prometheus, Grafana or any other performance analytic tools. 

• Identify performance bottlenecks through performance profiling, monitoring, and analysis of system metrics. 

• Develop performance benchmarks and conduct load, stress, and scalability tests to evaluate system performance 

• Automating functional/performance tests on both API and UI. 

• Work collaboratively with a large group of engineers from all disciplines within Engineering. 

• Proactively investigating the performance issues and highlighting them. 

• Respond to inquiries/requests around performance and availability coming from various teams within the organization. 

• Actively involved in the testing Strategy, Approach, Planning. 

• Contributing product design to ensure testability and robustness of products and features. 

• Working closely with PM and Developers to deliver high quality releases for production. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot application and environmental issues. 

• Work and collaborate in multi-disciplinary Agile teams, adopting Agile spirit, methodology and tools.

Qualifications: 

• BE/BTech/MS in CS or equivalent educational degree 

• 8-12 years of hands-on experience in performance engineering for enterprise-grade applications 

• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad or similar) 

• Deep understanding of profiling and tuning JVM-based applications (Java, Scala, Kotlin) or other modern runtime environments 

• Hands-on experience with database performance tuning (SQL query optimization, indexing, partitioning, caching, replication strategies) 

• Expertise in analyzing CPU, memory, disk, and network performance in distributed systems 

• Strong understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and memory management 

• Experience with cloud-based performance optimization in AWS and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes 

• Experience with monitoring tools like Coralogix, Datadog, Grafana will be an added advantage 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of system design 

• Experience in working on Actimize solutions or in Anti Money Laundering, Case Management or Fraud Detection products will be an added advantage 

• Familiar with CI/CD and experience with Jenkins, Artifactory and working knowledge in Docker will be an added advantage. 

• Self-motivated and fast learner with a strong sense of ownership and drive 

• Good interpersonal and communication skills; friendly disposition; work effectively as a team player 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
