Scope

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet established quality and safety standards before they reach customers. This role performs inspections, testing, and documentation to verify compliance with internal specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine quality inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Perform product sampling and testing according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Record and maintain accurate quality data in logs, databases, or quality management systems.
  • Identify nonconformities and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Support calibration, equipment verification, and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Communicate quality issues promptly to production, maintenance, and management teams.
  • Assist in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, GMP, HACCP, FDA, or customer audits).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on process quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
     

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a quality assurance, laboratory, or production environment (industry-specific experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations and defects.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, testing methods, and measurement tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with [insert applicable standards—ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, FDA, etc.].
