Duties and Responsibilities
- Mentor repair technicians, estimators, and management to ensure the Caliber standard of quality, which corresponds with the OEM specifications.
- Use 3rd party software to file reports regarding accurate completion of repair to OE standards.
- Follow up with center teammates regarding repairs in person or through conference calls.
- Recommend and coordinate necessary training for areas of need based on quality reviews.
- Partner with, build alliances and perform liaison activities with the executive team and field leadership.
- Complete facility inspections as assigned and submit reports using third-party software to:
- Take and submit photos of the shop and tools, equipment, and materials.
- Recommend repair or replacement of tools, equipment, and materials as necessary.
- Recommend training on tools and equipment.
- Review reports with Center and Operations Leadership for accountability and successful management of Parts, Center Systems/Processes, Equipment and Training verification.
- Maintain a reporting structure that readily monitors performance indicators and Certification eligibility.
- Create actionable plans to improve processes and procedures to accomplish objectives, which include metrics of success and deliverables.
- Alignment of top-down vision, goals and objectives from business strategy flowing through to successful completion of center objectives.
- Optimization of center performance across the company to achieve the best functional, center production and technical value.
- Facilitate with OE Certification Team to Centers to verify equipment, tools, and training needs for teammates.
- Up to 50-60% Travel required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as a Non-Structural and Structural technician.
- Proficiency in using collision repair equipment and diagnostic instruments.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company insurance policy.
- Maintain or acquire I-CAR Structural Platinum certification.
- Basic working knowledge of CCC One, Estimating Systems and Alldata.
- Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Excel. Powerpoint, and Word.
- In-depth knowledge of OEM repair procedures and specifications.
- Maintain a minimum standard of continuing education annually to stay abreast of industry and coaching best practices.
- Represent Caliber with integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others, verbal and written.
- Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates and work orders.
- Organization and multi-tasking skills, good time management and ability to adapt easily to changing, fast-paced environments.
- Ability to understand workflows and have the ability to navigate and submit reports using a laptop and/or other electronic device.
- Personable, friendly demeanor with “World Class” customer service approach with internal and external customers.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Training or teaching experience preferred.
