Do you love a dynamic environment where you can gain cross-functional experience? Reporting to the Manager, Quality Services, you will be joining a front-line team in a busy Customer Service oriented environment. You will administer and perform cross functional activities required to investigate, assess and report on quality issues and non-compliances of inbound shipments arriving at the Durham Retail Service Centre (Distribution Centre) and initiate corrective action to support the LCBO Supply Chain.

About the Role

•    Perform a variety of functions to support efficient and effective product flow through the Supply Chain. Support the Logistics and Category teams and our Vendors by performing corrective work on problem loads, such as relabeling, re-palletizing and repackaging non-compliant shipments.
•    Accurately process, receive, validate and move inbound product samples. Manage inventory tracking for QA samples using the appropriate technology applications and monitoring to confirm product is received accurately through its destination  
•    Complete load inspection checklists, document and take photos of non-compliances, and report the results to the applicable stakeholder
•    Inspect and assess stock, review product data, complete reports, and coordinate shipments of product samples.
•    Perform product inspections, review problem loads, and make recommendations for remediation on product quality and shipping issues.
•    Review packaging to ensure it is compliant to LCBO specifications, support NISS packaging review, conduct burst strength testing and assess products against LCBO Product Packaging standards, provide feedback to achieve compliant shipping
•    Accurately enter, maintain and monitor date code data, sample tracking, and manage inventory in QA areas.
•    Make accurate records into the Warehouse Management system to record product movements between locations. 
•    Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in order to move product through the supply chain.

About You

•    Physical ability to lift and carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and ongoing basis.
•    Must be willing and able to work all shifts (day shift: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; afternoon shift: 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.) and occasional overtime, including weekends.

•    Experience with product quality and control, and the movement of product within the warehouse facility for quality control purposes.
•    Capability using powered Material Handling Equipment to safely move high volumes of inventory following established QA and Warehouse Management processes
•    Understanding of ISO 9001 environments, or similar workplaces that value continuous improvements, standards, process and rigor.
•    Proficiency in a variety of personal computer software applications and network applications; including MS Office and Outlook, Warehouse Management Systems, Supply Chain systems such as Aquitec (SCMe), Laboratory systems such as LIMS Sample Inquiry and QA web applications
•    Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Knowledge of the processes and standards related to packaging and product marking, as well as the impacts of error identification
•    Demonstrating a strong ability to recommend suitable corrective actions while prioritizing to support differing objectives.
