What You Will Do:
The Quality Senior Manager, Gaging/CMM Programming/MRB plays a key Site Quality role in the leadership and successful execution of quality operational processes for these teams as well as ownership for the long term 3 to 5 year strategy for shaping the Quality Signature for the Columbus Forge Site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally and broaden capabilities while proudly leading and managing a team of professional experts in these functional areas.
Manage three teams of experienced professionals in Gage Standards, CMM Programming and Disk MRB.
Ensure a retained proficient team of skilled professional CMM programmers, Gage Standards metrologists and a proficient MRB team.
Work with your team leaders to deliver tactical execution performance through operational plans
Solve difficult to complex technical and process problems, drive process development, and perform best practice benchmarking to continuously improve policies, procedures and standard work guidance. Drive usage of Core Business Practices and utilize CLW’s to focus on process continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal customers to understand their challenges and deliver solutions for service performance relating to speed, efficiency and quality of results
Establish operational plans with your team aligned to goals of the CFB and CFD organizations to achieve results each year
Drive investigation of new technology options for inspection and calibration processes, create a cohesive aligned strategy across Mod Centers and execute on plans as appropriate/required. Advance the metrology discipline for the Site.
Be responsible for preventative maintenance planning and execution for accountable shop floor equipment and ensure plans are laid out far enough in advance to be successful and support the shop floor on time delivery. Drive the capital process when outdated equipment is in the need for replacement.
Lead and support key communications for your teams both internal and external with vendors. Be influential and supportive of team members to help drive support and success.
Communicate quality initiatives and Module Center flow-down information to your teams during staff meetings and 1:1’s.
Demonstrate EH&S leadership to keep your employees and equipment safe at all times.
Lead talent development for your teams including development of active IDP’s, obtaining training and mentors when appropriate and on time completion of performance assessments and survey actions.
Leadership for the Gage Standards team focused on flawless and timely execution of gage calibration at the Site level. Establish TAKt times and capacity and resourcing plans. Establish documented “right to run” rules and documented criteria to ensure compliance
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors degree and 10 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, aerospace or closely related industrial environment OR a Master's degree and 7 or more Years of relevant experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, aerospace or closely related industrial environment
Experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity
Demonstrated prior experience managing customer requirements and meet tactical commitments
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Experience working with SAP

Qualifications We Prefer:
STEM degree
Prior experience in the aerospace industry
Experience leading, coaching and building teams and developing direct reports
Previous experience in CMM Programming, Gage Standards/Metrology, Inspection or MRB
Competent in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), PPAP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
