BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Intern for Quality Engineering at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Project:

Join the ZeroGap Project, focused on eliminating failures or gaps in controls, contributing to the standardization and continuous improvement of factory processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Map all manufacturing and support processes in the factory, identifying process owners and existing control plans.

  • Develop standardized tools and templates for control plans.

  • Create checklists of mandatory requirements by process type.

  • Implement internal procedures to ensure compliance with defined standards.

  • Apply and monitor the standardized system across existing processes.

  • Support internal audits and ensure periodic updates of documentation.

  • Prepare a final report with gap analysis, achieved results, and an action plan.

Profile:

  • Academic background in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Quality, or similar fields).

    Interest in Quality, Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.

    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    Knowledge of quality tools and industrial processes (preferred).

    Good organizational and communication skills.

    Proactive and critical thinking mindset.
