The Test Coordinator acts as a liaison between Thomson Reuters testers and business testers, ensuring robust communication and enhancing testing quality and validation. This role is vital in balancing testing efforts between technical and receiving sides, minimizing risks and maximizing value. The Test Coordinator is also responsible for developing and implementing robust test plans to ensure comprehensive end-to-end testing.

About the Role   

In this opportunity as Quality Engineer, you will: 

  • Acts as a liaison between Thomson Reuters testers and business testers to ensure robust communication and enhance testing quality and validation.
  • Develops and implements robust test plans to ensure comprehensive end-to-end testing.
  • Operates with a moderate level of guidance and direction, balancing testing efforts between technical and receiving sides.
  • Immediate project or QA/Software Development Engineer team.
  • Engages with cross-functional teams to execute and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Understands product strategy and objectives, aligning QA Engineering work accordingly.
  • Addresses routine objections and concerns with limited support; knows when escalation is needed.
  • Creates operating mechanisms to ensure all voices are heard within the project team; commits to team decisions once made.
  • Shares information clearly and articulately via all mediums to all audiences.
  • Learns and adapts; bounces back from setbacks.

About You:

You’re a fit for the role of Quality Engineer, if you have the following required qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Developing QA Engineer professional.
  • Extensive experience in test coordination and managing test plans.
  • Experience in creating and conveying robust test plans for comprehensive testing.
  • Understanding of risk management and problem-solving in testing processes.
  • Knowledge in testing methodologies, including end-to-end and cross-functional testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and environments.
  • Ensures that risks are identified and mitigated, maximizing testing value.
  • Detects, highlights, and tracks bugs, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Performs activities according to quality criteria and delivers testing solutions.
  • Actively and collaboratively contributes to meetings, processes, and agile ceremonies with cross-functional teams.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Understands the markets we serve, our products, and customers.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into test cases.
  • Able to interpret customer scenarios and convert them into manual and/or automated test scripts.
