Position:                      Quality Engineer

Location:                      39 hours per week

Reporting to:               Quality Lead

Hours of Work:            39.75 hours per week

What you will do

Reporting to the Quality Lead, the Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the effective operation of the Quality Department. The post holder will support both customers and internal teams to resolve quality issues, uphold product and process standards, and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to customers and production teams on all quality‑related matters.
  • Manage the product approval process, including FAIR validation and associated audits.
  • Proactively identify, drive, and monitor corrective and preventive actions for internal and external quality issues.
  • Oversee the MRB (Material Review Board) process for returned goods.
  • Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Contribute to New Product and Process Development (NPPD) activities.
  • Support the development, implementation, and auditing of the Quality Management System.
  • Ensure all products meet required quality sign‑off criteria and implement containment measures where non‑conformances occur.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to investigate root causes and implement sustainable quality solutions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to both fabrication and assembly.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and industry-standard problem‑solving techniques.
  • Ability to apply statistical methods for fault identification and technical issue resolution.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Previous experience in a quality-focused role.
