The NPI Quality Engineer develops and implements programs and processes to ensure that high quality products are designed, engineered and manufactured by Spectroscopy Product Line’s, in conformance with customer requirements and Agilent expectations.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Highly skilled professional with functional breadth and specialized depth in area of responsibility, plus expertise in complementary fields.
Provide Quality Engineering leadership to New Product Development and Product Revision programs.
Ensure effective Design Control, including comprehensive, customer-centric input definition as well as robust design reviews, verification, validation &
traceability.
Ensure Quality, Reliability and Compliance requirements are incorporated.
Collaborate with R&D to define test plans, including performance, life, reliability, design margin and abuse testing.
Troubleshoot upon test failures, determine root cause of failures, and recommend engineering solution options to the designers.
Analyze test results and report the observations to relevant engineering teams. Support the analysis and prediction of life, PM cycles & reliability.
Identifies and reduces broad concepts and strategies into structured projects to achieve innovative and effective solutions to critical and complex problems.
Leads or contributes to the development of new projects/programs/processes, acting as the key technical contributor for area of responsibility.
Uses advanced approaches and concepts to solve complex, high-impact design/development problems where information is seldom available.
May be a functional/technical team lead, mentor, or trainer to others.
May lead or represent the organization in major or large-scale projects requiring specialized expertise and impacting internal and/or external stakeholders.
Provide advice for all aspects of safety and regulations of assigned products.
Oversee Product Safety Events (PSE) for products assigned.
Ensure effective hazard assessment is completed, the team successfully addresses the PSE and ensures effective closure of the event.
Prepare document packages for regulatory submissions for new and mature products to ensure alignment and compliance with local and regional registration requirements and company policies.
Respond to customers and/or authorities requests/inquiries dealing with regulations and product compliance.
Bachelor or Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering.
Typically 5+ years of experience of relevant experience
Demonstrated strong leadership skills including communication, planning and collaboration skills.
Experience with a product development process and quality requirements throughout product life cycle. · Sound problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to think conceptually about design, test and improvement of complex products and assemblies to the component level.
Sound knowledge and experience with Machinery Regulation (2023/1230), Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU as amended by (EU) 2015/863, EMC Standards (IEC 61326-1:2012/EN 61326-1:2013), Safety Standards (IEC 61010-1:2010/AMD1:2016/EN 61010-1:2010/A1:2019.
Sound knowledge and experience with reliability tests including climatic, dynamic and abusive/stress tests.
