Quality Coordinator

We are seeking a Quality Coordinator to join our Ledcor team in Oshawa, ON! In this exciting opportunity you will be exposed to and gain experience in all aspects of large-scale infrastructure project operations including quality management, contract administration, equipment operation and maintenance, crew interaction, project and activity management, and process management.

This position will be site based at our Oshawa, ON location to support the Bowmanville Expansion which will have a lasting impact on the local community. This role is ideally suited to someone interested in managing quality at the site level and on the ground within the highway maintenance and construction field with a goal of developing as a leader.

Essential Requirements

  • Performing work in a safe and efficient manner and proactively participating and encouraging a positive safety culture
  • Learn about the technical, operational and managerial aspects of Ledcor Infrastructure and contribute to the success of the team
  • Maintain a strong quality and contract understanding, with the ability to train new team members
  • Ensure quality standards are met and supported with proper recordkeeping
  • Coordinate and maintain project quality documents, including completing quality related field inspections
  • Perform quality inspections, testing and audits at a field level
  • Compile test results, compare with contract standards and specifications, and present to the project stakeholders for appropriate actions.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with the Quality project. Obtain, compile and organize quality documentation from Subcontractors
  • Experience with turnover of a large infrastructure projects is an asset
  • Review client feedback and preparation of responses to client technical inquiries
  • Maintain test and inspection instruments to ensure equipment is accurately calibrated and within tolerances
  • Be able to understand contract and industry standards
  • Be familiar with and able to administrate ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Participate and develop leadership, supervisory and management skills for the delivery of Ledcor Infrastructure projects and activities

Qualifications

  • 5+ years related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience is an asset
  • Can build relationships, team orientated, personable, confident, able to influence key stakeholders and proactively participate in discussions
  • Strong interest in Quality Management paired with solid organizational skills
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Able to read and understand construction documents
  • Strong technical skills including experience with MS Word, Excel, and scheduling software. 
  • Previous exposure working with Government Clients (MTO, Region of Durham, Municipalities, etc.) and CPKC would be an asset
  • Ability to solve problems based on clearly defined procedures

Compensation

$79,200.00 - $105,600.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
